The DOX| Kiosk™ system integrates three unique features of the DOX| Technology Suite™: DOX| Patient Check In™, DOX| Patient Data Verification™ and DOX| Remote Forms™. Each module can be run independently or in different combinations to allow offices maximum flexibility when determining ideal patient flow as they introduce electronic data verification and form completion to their patients.

For example, an office may install a touch screen monitor at the check-in window to allow patients to easily type in their phone number and log in with the DOX| Patient Check In. Special messages activated by specific scheduling codes, such as recare or new patients, can display as the patient checks in and direct them to another kiosk to update their patient data and medical histories. These kiosks, located in more private areas of the office, would then only run DOX| Patient Data Verification and DOX| Remote Forms. Other offices who have placed several kiosks in their check-in or waiting areas may elect to activate all three modules, allowing their patients to check in, verify patient data, and update health histories all from one computer. Or an office may prefer to omit the DOX| Patient Check In since the clinical assistant accompanies the parent or patient to the clinical area or consult room to complete the DOX| Patient Data Verification and DOX| Remote Forms. TheDOX| Kiosk system is flexible enough to work with any type of patient flow.

DOX| Patient Check In

The DOX check in feature helps alleviate congestion at the front desk by allowing patients to check themselves in. As each family member checks in, the TPL status of that patient updates to either A (Arrived) or L (Logged In), based on the office’s preference. Often patients who need to complete new patient paperwork or update their health history are set to A, while the others are set to L. Patients with birthdays can be delighted by an animated birthday greeting. Offices can easily edit messages that display after a patient logs in, arrives late for an appointment, or other events provided by the system. Sound, graphics and even flash movies can be added to these special messages and events.

DOX| Patient Data Verification

This module allows the patient to review and update account, phone, patient and insurance information. All data changes are saved as pending information in the eChanges menu of DOX. Once the office reviews the data, they can choose to either accept the changes which then updates DOX or reject them.

DOX| Remote Forms

Our remote forms are specifically designed for offices with DOX| Structured Chart ™ for whom KSB has created customized medical history and consent forms. Each time a patient returns for their recall visit, medical information that was entered on the last visit is pulled forward, making the patient or parent aware of all information previously provided and enabling them to better inform your practice of any medical changes. As each form is signed (by either a digital signature pad connected to the kiosk or a pen if using tablets), a concise, color-coded narrative is automatically generated, enabling the clinical team to easily identify any critical conditions.

DOX| eComm

The DOX| Kiosk system is designed to work hand-in-hand with DOX| eComm, our web communication package that can be linked directly from your website. By utilizing our DOX| eComm services, patients can complete the DOX| Patient Data Verification and DOX| Remote Forms on-line before their visit. Any updates to the demographic data are saved in DOX| eChanges, allowing the office to easily update patient information in DOX before the patient arrives. Likewise, once the patient completes their health history on-line, a concise narrative is automatically generated and available for review in the patient’s chart. On the day of the visit, the patient simply checks in and signs any necessary forms using the DOX| Kiosk system. With patients spending less time at the kiosk to complete paperwork, fewer kiosks are required for high-volume patient load.
